(NEW YORK) -- New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler is expected to miss one week with a small bulging disk in his neck area, the team announced Tuesday.

Chandler has missed the past two games with the injury.

Chandler, last season's defensive player of the year,  has averaged 10.7 points and 11 rebounds a game this season.

It was also announced forward Kurt Thomas will be out two to four weeks with a stress reaction and a stress fracture in his right foot.

Besides Thomas and Chandler, the Knicks are already without Amare Stoudemire for the season and Rasheed Wallace until at least the first round of the playoffs. The Knicks are also dealing with Carmelo Anthony's lingering knee/hamstring issues that have caused him to miss six of the team's last nine games.
